I am a storyteller—I have been for as far back as I can remember.  In the beginning, I expressed myself  through creative writing and drawing.  When I was a teenager, I inherited a Canon 35mm film camera and became deeply immersed in the photographic world.  Since then, I have continuously pushed myself to improve, to become a more creative and effective storyteller.   I find inspiration in everything, and I remain dedicated to telling meaningful, thought provoking stories through imagery.

Over the past couple of years, I began to turn my hobby into a business, shooting mostly weddings and portraits.  I still want people to be emotionally connected to my images, therefore, my shooting style emphasizes spontaneous moments, but I also incorporate plenty of traditional, posed shots into each of my sessions.  I simply love to photograph all people in their environment, but admit that children are my favorite subjects.  I have a fantastic repertoire with kids and find great joy just being in their company.  Being able to capture their wonder and innocence on camera is cathartic for me.  Having two small children of my own, I understand the patience involved in waiting for that perfect moment to snap the shutter, as well as the importance of preserving such precious memories through photographs.

I am a single shooter with an assistant for lighting with off-camera flash.  Though most of my sessions are outdoors, I have plenty of lighting equipment that I use when the need arises.  I shoot with a Nikon D800, and have a variety of professional lenses and other gear that keep me prepared for any situation.
